# UI Mode

`UI Mode` controls how Ease & Wizz 2 adds editable controls to the layer.

## Modes

| Mode | What It Adds | Best For |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| `Full (Plugin)` | One native `E&W2` effect with dropdowns and all sliders | The cleanest control panel when the plugin is installed |
| `Full (Sliders)` | Separate After Effects dropdown and slider controls | Full editability without the native plugin UI |
| `Minimum (Sliders)` | Only `Easing` and `Type` dropdown controls | Simple setups that do not need advanced tuning |

## Full (Plugin)

`Full (Plugin)` adds the native Ease & Wizz 2 effect to the layer. The effect includes:

* `Easing`
* `Type`
* `Expo Power`
* `Expolastic Midpoint`
* `Elastic Period`
* `Elastic Amplitude`
* `Back Overshoot`

{% hint style="info" %}
When the native plugin is not available, Ease & Wizz 2 can fall back to `Full (Sliders)` so the expression can still be applied with standard After Effects controls.
{% endhint %}

## Full (Sliders)

`Full (Sliders)` creates individual dropdown and slider control effects. This gives you the same editable parameters as `Full (Plugin)`, but each control appears as a separate effect.

## Minimum (Sliders)

`Minimum (Sliders)` creates only the `Easing` and `Type` dropdowns. Advanced values use defaults inside the expression.

Use this when you want a lighter layer effect stack and do not need to adjust advanced easing parameters.

## Interface Conditionals

| Condition                                     | Result                                               |
| --------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Native plugin is available | `Full (Plugin)` can create one bundled `E&W2` effect |
| Native plugin is not available                | Use `Full (Sliders)` or `Minimum (Sliders)`          |
| `Easing` is `Expolastic` in the native plugin | `Type` is disabled because Expolastic ignores it |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://plugin-everything.gitbook.io/plugin-everything-docs/ease-and-wizz-2/controls/ui-mode.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
