# Apply Easing

Ease & Wizz 2 applies expressions to selected keyframed properties. The expression uses your selected easing style to calculate the value between keyframes.

## Apply Dynamic Easing

1. Select one or more keyframed properties in After Effects
2. Open the Dynamic tab
3. Choose a `UI Mode`
4. Choose how `Multiple Properties` should be handled
5. Click `Apply`

Ease & Wizz 2 adds controls to the layer and connects the selected properties to those controls.

{% hint style="info" %}
Dynamic easing stays editable. You can change `Easing`, `Type`, and any slider controls after the expression has been applied.
{% endhint %}

## Apply Classic Easing

1. Select one or more keyframed properties
2. Open the Classic tab
3. Choose an easing family and direction
4. Choose which keyframes the expression should affect
5. Click `Apply`

Classic easing writes a fixed expression to the property. To change the easing style later, apply a different Classic expression or use the Dynamic workflow.

## Requirements

* The selected property must support expressions
* The property needs keyframes for visible interpolation
* Shared controls can only be used when the selected properties are on the same layer

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://plugin-everything.gitbook.io/plugin-everything-docs/ease-and-wizz-2/getting-started/apply-easing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
